To inspire participation and to encourage development of volleyball through coaching, games and competitions.

  • Regional / County League Women (CW)

  • Beginners and Core Skills
  • Juniors

Our NVL Men’s and Women’s squads compete in the Division 1 of the English National Volleyball League (2018-19).  Both also compete in the National Volleyball Cup and Shield.

The County League Men’s squad compete in the Eastern Region Volleyball Series and the Cambridgeshire Volleyball Men’s League (2018-19).

The County League Women’s squad compete in the Eastern Region Volleyball Series and the Cambridgeshire Volleyball Women’s League (2018-19).

The Intermediates group is a friendly squad for both keen improvers and recreational volleyball players.

The Beginners and Core skills group is set up for those who are new to the sport as well as for players who are keen to develop their core skills in volleyball.

Some of our Junior members in the club compete in ad-hoc junior tournaments in the region.

In partnership with Living Sport, Cambridge Volleyball Club also run training sessions at Hills Road Sixth Form College.  This Satellite club aims to help grow the number of young people taking part in volleyball and to provide new opportunities for them to create lifelong sporting habits.  The satellite club is a great way to help bridge the gap between school, college and community sport.

Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge Volleyball Club – The Collaboration

In 2014, CVC and ARU set up a collaboration agreement to allow ARU students to train and play with the CVC National League teams.

The purpose of the collaboration is to contribute to a professional and progressive volleyball environment being created by Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge Volleyball Club.  The hope is that through this collaboration ARU students will benefit from the increased training and high level competition opportunities.  It is also hoped that the collaboration will attract National League standard players to the university, in line with their strategy to increase their BUCS ranking.  The collaboration will increase the pool of players for Cambridge Volleyball Club and increase the club profile both locally and nationally.
